Our nation’s veterans have served our country and sacrificed for our freedoms. Many veterans suffer from chronic pain, extreme hearing loss, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or exposure to burn pits or toxic chemicals due to their years of service.
Veterans deserve a fair chance at the compensation they are owed, and Veterans Compensation Group is dedicated to assisting veterans in a comprehensive and collaborative manner to obtain veterans disability benefits. Steven W. Hanna, Attorney at Law, is the principal of Veterans Compensation Group and an accredited attorney with the VA Veterans Administration. Steve and our team work tirelessly to access the benefits our nation’s veterans are entitled to from the VA, the US government, and other sources. Veterans who file their claims through accredited attorneys are nearly 500% more likely to achieve success.
Every veteran’s case is unique and receives individualized care and an approach that includes case management, advocacy, and thorough guidance through each step of the application process with the Veterans Administration, other federal programs, and any other determined sources of compensation for veterans and their families.
Additionally, if a veteran’s case has been previously denied or insufficiently rated for VA benefits and compensation, Veterans Compensation Group will step in and coordinate the re-application process, working to ensure the best possible outcome.
The PACT Act, signed into law in 2022, has opened the door for many veterans to receive new or expanded benefits due to service-connected exposure to toxic chemicals and the trauma and stress-related issues that follow many veterans into civilian life once their service to our nation has ended. For example, many Iraq and Afghanistan veterans were exposed to toxic chemicals from burn pits, resulting in severe respiratory problems and dangerous chemical exposures that have plagued them ever since.
Through the Veterans Administration, eligible veterans may receive monthly financial benefits and may also be eligible for compensation that dates back to their discharge from military service. Unfortunately, many of our nation’s veterans are unaware of the benefits available to them or have filed for benefits in the past and were denied. The Veterans Compensation Group will help to right those wrongs and work to provide every benefit and form of compensation each and every veteran has earned and deserves.

Between 1953 and 1987, our nation’s Marine Corps veterans were assigned to base camp at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. More than 1,000,000 Marines, sailors, civilian workers, and their families were exposed to the toxic and polluted water at Camp Lejeune. The camp was the site of one of the worst water contamination cases in US history, and the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, signed into law in 2022, provides financial compensation for veterans and others who spent 30 days or more at the camp and have consequently suffered from a wide array of medical issues and diseases.
Veterans Compensation Group is working to identify Marines and others who are eligible for a financial settlement under the Camp Lejeune Justice Act and will help establish eligibility and manage the process of receiving compensation.
